wouldnt it be great if GRU could organise some sort of link that would pick these up on a regular basis or perhaps e bay could recommend that their members post their items for sale on a GRU board as surely both parties would benefit, The thought that something belonging to my rels. could be sold on without my knowledge is horrid. Hi, I check on ebay all the time & used to put things like family bibles on the boards quite often but never used to get much reaction. I still try to match up on Genes if I can & send people pms but never seem to get any replies. Only ever had one reply. Would love it if someone informed me. Hilary. |

Hello all - yes, it is so frustrating seeing all those bibles, wills, medals etc., when I know us genealogists would give our right arm for anything like that! What I have done is set up a Favourite Search on eb-y. This is fairly easy to do, and you can add your surnames. Then whenever anything is listed with that name in either the title or description, it will automatically send you an email. Not ideal I know for some of the more common surnames, but works well for my more unusual ones. x |
