Just thought I'd let you all know that I have found the owner of the bible, it belonged to his GG Grandparents, I am soooo happy for him! It even has an In Memoriam Card tucked in the back with another name to investigate. Will be handing it over probably Saturday. Ann

Because I was so excited I didnt explain myself very well the owner is almost certainly Carole as I mentioned in my 1st message, I think she probably hasnt been into her email today and seen my message. Coincidence of all is that I live near South Normanton and the seller is in Nottingham, Ive bought it now and will be picking it up soon. Just waiting for Carole to reply. Ann

just had a reply from the seller there is an area of south nornanton notts in the bible if this helps you to locate a family for it good luck

OOOOOOOOOOOOhhh - I would have to buy it - if it wasn't too expensive ! If it was me I would gladly re-imburse you, but it is not, so I don't know how the other person would react. Can't really help, but feel just as excited as you !! Can you please find a gold hunter watch which was stolen from my father - left to him by his father - Isaac Chapman, and duly inscrbed.?? Last night I saw this on Ebay Item No.8423884424 LARGE FAMILY BIBLE 1860 There are a number of inscriptions inside,for example James Eaton Slater and Melville Slater. So I looked up some of the names on GR and it is definitely the bible containing the names of a GR member called Carol Watts. Ive emailed her but have had no reply but that could be because she hasnt been into her email today. I know this would be the ultimate find if it was mine and I dont know what to do. I am tempted to buy it for her. Ann
