Genealogy Chat

Have been doing very well (with some GR members assistance)on my family - I know my Grandparents DOBs and have found their birth registrations -Charles Matthews 04.Feb 1895 born in Ingatestone, which shows Chelmsford Essex. Nan, Florence Emily Boughtwood born 22nd October 1899 in Billericay, shows Chelmsford Essex, but I cannot find either of their death certs. he died about 1968, and she in 1991 or 92, or their marriage - have searchd using both his name and her (obvously using her maiden name) she was only born in 1899 so only shows on the 1 census but I can't imagine they would have left Essex but even so I have searched for all counties and cannot find a tie in of the names - spent weekend with family and an Aunt asked me to check when they got married for other reasons - but I just cant find them - does thus mean they never bothered?? I have tried different spellings but hitting a wall. Can anyone see them?? Gill

Whoops! Sorry Jess, as I say assume my aunt was born in Billericay, no reason to think otherwise, most of my Gr. Aunts and Uncles stayed in that area so can't see that she went away to have baby - but can't be sure..... thanks Gill

Ok so being REALLY stupid here - Kath I'm on ancestry, putting in names, where born, dates etc but still cannot see them, re my Aunt her name is Phyllis Daphne Pamela (nee matthews) I cant even find her just doing a ranked search and I would have thought with DOB 1927 and those names she would have 'popped' to the top is there another way to search on Ancestry that Im missing??????
