i have a Ambrose Waldren who got married in the june quarter 1903 in birmingham who i thought married Lillie Line but when i sent away for marriage cert they said they couldnt find it. on ancestry it has another name Charlotte Diana Hynett on there could someone check for me if thats who he got married to thanks.Debbie in |

sorry i think i worked out what i did wrong i think it must be Charlotte. a long time ago i asked my dad about a lillie and he said that name rang a bell so i think i went along with it but Ambrose had a sister called Lillie so i think he must of been thinking of her.thanks if anyone has had a look |

They share the same Vol and Page number, but that does not mean they were married? You would have to get the cert to find out who married who. when you say you sent away for the cert and they could not find it, Gro index numbers are no use to local registry office's, they have their own system, if it was a gro reference then you will nead to apply through, http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ Roy |

i have found out that lillie line did get married to william darby so i am hoping charlotte is the one porkie i did go through that what you said..thanks |
