I can only seem to get Cantebury and Norfolk come up and cannot search it properly, they have sent me another disc as I thought mine was faulty. Am I being thick if so please can anyone help me I am desprate. Sam

I never got them with mine, I just bought the standard version. What are the probs you have. The cds probably dont have a complete listing of parishes - is that what you are talking about?If not, give them a ring with your query. With cds, I usually put them on, sit there waiting for them to run, they dont, so I click on my computer and you can see the name of the cd on the disc drive thing. If you double click on that it starts up. Thats probably not what you wanted though!

I have rang them but they are not that helpful, The man from GSP said look at FAQ on website which there are none, he said he was not on the technical side ring Ancestry, they I was on the phone to them for 45 mins and they said ring GSP. The dis says This collection includes uk parish records including baptisms, burials, marriages, tombstone inscriptions, obituaries, wills and other miscellaneous records from 1538 to 1837. The cd contains 1,142,711 records in a fully searchable database. It does not say that there are only some counties, and when you look at the help it shows you a screen of Buckinghamshire, Lincolnshire, baptisms, marriages etc, but all I get is Cantebury it never comes up with anything on Leicestershire which I want. I hope it is me being thick as it is driving me MAD!!!!!

Hi Sam, When you have the disc in, if you click on the + on the left hand column where is says general, it will give you a list of everything that is one the disc. I am afraid it is just mainly Canterbury marriages and Norfolk!! I got mine free too, I am glad we didn't pay for it!!! You are not being thick, Leicester is not on it, they should have been able to tell you that at GSP or Ancestry. Sorry I didn't see your thread earlier x
