Im after the best family tree program if i want the gedcom downloaded off this site to show up all of the notes that ive typed in on here. Im using Family tree maker at the moment but the notes i have on each person dont show up when i convert the gedcom off this site. Also, what if i wanted to delete a whole line of people, is there a program that if i delete one person will automatically delete all of there off spring and ancesters. I.e. if i deleted my husband it would delete all of his side and only leave my blood ancestors and me? As far as i can tell Family Tree Maker only lets you delete one person at a time and if they have decendants or ancestors connected only to them then you cant delete them. Anybody have any ideas, The problem i have is that i want to do an all in one tree of just my husbands side, but you can only do an all in one tree of all the people (which included all my side and would take me hours to delete them all indivually) plus it doesnt show the notes that i originally put on this side and want on there. Thanks, Deborah |

Debs, There is a fairly easy way to split your trees like this. Bit late tonight but will get back to you. |

Any ideas on a family tree program that will keep all the notes from the gedcom file sent by this site? |

There seems to be a problem with this site's software - when I export a gedcom from here the notes (the part on the Other Details tab) are always ruined. I've contacted GR support, but they haven't fixed the problem yet, |
