I am trying to find a birth cert for a John Garrett born about 1838 Peterchurch Hereford. I have searched the birth reg up to 1840 do I assume his birth was not registered as I could not find him. I found him on the census and IGI records. Forgive me if I do not reply to this have visitors today and will be back later. All ideas will be appreciated. Thanks |

As he was born (abt) 1838, he could have actually been born before the civil registration started in 1837? the record on IGI is for his christening not his birth Roy |
