Anyone got the time to have a look for me ???? I have tried for ages, keep going back to it - but not cracked it - its cracked me ??? I am looking for the following Goodfellows on 1841 census - John 1797 ?? Leah 1806 Chiterton I of W John 1836 Portsea Hampshire I have family on 1851 Leah / 1806 / Pensioner wife / I of W John / 1836 / Portsea / apprentice Fanny / 1845 / Portsea William / 1846 / Portsea Not been able to find father John on 1851 either - must have been at sea I have them on all following census - but have had no luck finding any of them on 1841! (Of course Fanny & William not born) By 1861 Leah is a widow John hubby was in Navy (found records while at Kew in March) but not def about d of b or place - some mention of being from Portsea, and ages varied from 1793 - 1810 . . have all the certs for the children & Leahs but nothing there to lead me to father John's origins. Yep Zoe, thats their marriage . . . I only just recently found out she was Archer . . . she was actually Arched or Archea on the childrens certs . . . Thanks for helping cheers Laurie

No sign of her in 1841 at all maybe they are on a missing piece of census or really badly transcribed Zoe

Thanks again Zoe, just thought I'd ask in case it was me - though I have tried everything I could think of - thought someone else may come up with something I haven't! Will just put it down to a lost opportunity! cheers Laurie
