Julie couldn't see that on 1861 so cheked 1851 and they're there - is that what you meant? Looks like it could be them - I'll see if I can find ELiza and Harriet on their own in 1861. Cheers luv Z xx |

Struggling to find John Walker b.1847 and his father Thomas Walker in tcensus prior to 1861 (and I'm not sure 1861 census is correct family) Any help please?? From the marriage certificate of John Walker in 1871: John Walker, Builders Carman father = Thomas Walker, bricklayers labourer 1881 (Defnitely him) John Walker abt 1851 Somers Tn, Middlesex, England Head Catherine Walker abt 1853 Islington, Middlesex, England Wife Thos. Walker abt 1873 St Giles, Middlesex, England Son Marion Walker abt 1875 St Giles, Middlesex, England Daughter Eliza Walker abt 1878 St Giles, Middlesex, England Daughter John Walker abt 1879 St Giles, Middlesex, England Son Walker St Giles, Middlesex, England Daughter (Somerstown is an area of ST Pancras I think) 1871 census (most likely) Thomas Walker, head, abt 1815, Hereford - Bricklayers Labourer (Widower) John Walker, son, abt 1848, St Pancras - Carman 1861 (closest possibility I can find) Thomas Walker, abt 1815, Head, Herefordshire, Bootmaker (Married) Charles Walker, abt 1847, Son, Pancras John Walker, abt 1848, Son Pancras John Walker dies before 1891 census so I don't have any other confirmation of his birthplace accompanied by children so I know it's definitely him. The Thomas Walker I'm following doesn't appear with his wife (I can't narrow down a John Walker birth certificate just yet - although I have one calling out to me) Only other clue is a possible baptism from teh IGI which I can't reasonably lay claim to (and i think its a year too early from what I've got so far): Old Chruch, St Pancras bp. 19 APR 1846 born 23 Feb 1846 John son of Thomas and Mary Walker CHeers for looking Zoe xx |
