HI, received wrong cert today and have just added a postem note to the RootswebBMD, thought it might be an idea to remind people you can do this so that perhaps we can all benefit from using this facility!!! (Stop some of these unwanted certificates) Suzanne

I discovered this facility only this week. Is it new, or did I just not notice before? A great idea, hopefully a way of getting in contact with other researchers. It is a good idea to leave a note from certificates ordered correctly or incorrectly, I will do that when the 2 that I have ordered arrive. Cheers Christine in NZ

I have not actually been on the Rootsweb BMD to post a postem but I posted a Postem Note on the ordinary Rootswebsite about 4/5 years ago, about some Irish information I had come across, which was significantly different to what was on there originally. A year or more later, when I had forgotten all about it, a different part of the American family came back to me to say that they were interested. A correspondence started, leading to much information gained and given. They were in possession of letters dating back to the 1850's which linked me to their family through the knowledge I already had from Irish cousins. I was able to interpret the letters for them, explaining who the people were that were named in the letters, and giving them the Irish background, while they told me about what happened to these people when they went to the States. We have now been in correspondence, giving each other help, for the last 3 years and I am meeting these people shortly. My message here is that if you have something to leave on Rootsweb whether ordinary message or a BMD then do it as you never know what may turn up. Janet
