Hi - thanks all, yes that is the Frederick Altree on the Wales Census - just couldn't find anything further??

I found this after a google search.... From: Barb McBride <[email protected]> Subject: 1891 Census lookup for ALTREE Date: Sat, 06 Mar 2004 08:16:29 -0600 Hello I am hoping someone can help with the full details for this family. Josephine found them at census 1963 1 45. Living there were Edward Altree, wife Janetta and children Nellie, Ernest and Dora. Would anyone be able to find the 2 oldest sons, Frederick Altree b. 1875 New Brunswick, Australia and Philomen Charles b. Sept 11, 1877 in Neath, Glamorgan. Thank you for any help. No Altree birth found during the right period. Only likely birth found: Births Jun 1875 ALLTREE Frederick Lewis W. Derby 8b 329 This is the death you found: Deaths Mar 1887 Altree Frederick 12 Bristol 6a 37

Which census did you find him on? The only Frederick Alltree I can find on the 1881 census was born in Liverpool and living in West Derby, Lancs. Can't find a Frederick Altree. If he was born in 1875 and died in 1887, he won't be on any other censuses.

Just had a look on Ancestry the Canadian records are scanty at best, but nothing resembling the surname mentioned anywhere. Also canada gen web same result unfortuneately. Sorry but I cannot suggest anything else at the moment. Others may know more about canadian records.

Wonder whether anyone can help me on this one? One my ancestors is listed on a census as being born in New Brunswick - British Subject. I cannot locate how his parents may have got there or a marriage and can't find his birth either! PLEASE HELP!! His name is Frederick Altree and he was born c1875, died 1887 in Bristol.
