I ned another pair of eyes please--mine are boggled!! Looking for the death of Thomas Bailey (Baley) b c1812 In 1871 census he is living with 2nd wife and family in Yarmouth and is an 'agent and shopkeeper', on the 1881 census Eliza is a widow, still in Yarmouth ---I'm blowed if I can find his death record-- I was up 'til 1am looking and I've looked again first thing this morning!!

I'v lookd on Free BMD, the free BMD list on Ancestry and the regular BMD list, but by the last I was seing double!!

Regular list - you mean you have trawled all the images? By the way if you have done the freebmd search its not worth doing it again on ancestry as they use freebmd info (though slightly out of date compared with the freebmd site). You need to look at the bmd index and go through the images.

How far is Ipswich from Yarmouth? I'v been on the NBI as well but they've got very little. He must have died 'cos she's got some of his family living with her as wll as her own and down as a widow, he was 10 years older as well. Oooh don't you just hate it when this happens grrrrr!!!

Just a thought Carol - as he's shown as 'shopkeeper and agent' might the 'agent' bit have meant some travelling - how far afield have you looked for his death? sorry Trudy
