Its been a good week for a few of us, hasnt it. Glen got a good result and I found (and joined) the Sussex History Group, got a chap giving me info in addition to all the stuff I already had on the Verralls back to mid 17th century. All beautifully sourced and referenced. He referred a lot to one will which sounded really interesting. I emailed him thanking him for all this new info and asked where hed got the will from (it wasnt on NA). He said Dont bother buying it, I have a transcript I can send you. Now that is a result, isnt it.

Heather Yes! Isn't it nice to have a positive thread, rather than the usual ones about not finding folk or being unable to read records etc. nell on a roll tonight, one contact has told me a branch of my Gloucestershire Mealing family has turned up in wales, as Mealins. I've now found various Mealin/Maling and variant siblings of the Broadmoor chappie, all in Wales! Not only the name, but the birthplace, Rendcombe has also been mangled so no wonder I thought they were lost forever! nell

Must be something in the air Nell, found my Foalsters as Falsters in the IGI.
