Don't know if you know the area, but Minster and Sherness are quite close on Isle of Sheppey so quite possible the same. |

jim thank u for ur reply on the 71 census it says he was born in sheerness kent do u think they might have got it wrong also it dosent mention the j in 71 census either |

i have a henry holmes born in sheerness in kent 1851 ive found him in 1871 census he was on board a ship as he was in the navy but ive looked for him in 1861 census and cant find him any ideas please thanks |
