Hiya Am not by any means a computer expert but I would presume you need to open them WITH Outlook express. Having never used OE: Have you tried access them via your pc? ie does outlook express have some sort of tool that you can open stuff from a disk? ie are you just putting the disk in and trying to open them via Windows or explorer? If no good had a quick look online, try this free download: http://www.mailnavigator.com/read_outlook_express_dbx_files.html Reading messages in Outlook Express 5, 6 DBX files Mailbox Reader for Outlook Express DBX file format MailNavigator is a powerful system for retrieving information from the archives of the majority of popular mail programs. Versions 0.09 and later include the capability of reading mail archives in DBX (Outlook Express 5, 6) format. Version 0.12 adds the capability of reading mail in PST (MS Outlook) format. Version 1.8 of MailNavigator adds the capability exporting messages to Eudora Mail, Outlook Express and most other popular mail programs. So now users of MS Outlook and Outlook Express can use MailNavigator to find messages in their mail archives and recovering the information contained in dbx files. If, as a result of computer crash, Outlook Express or another mail client cannot read its message archives, you can try opening them in MailNavigator and exporting them back. MailNavigator's message search system can search for information in the mail archives of the following popular programs: MS Mail MS News MS Outlook Outlook Express |

Thought I was doing a good thing by backing up my emails from Outlook Express, just in case. I have a problem though with opening them up from the disk. All the files end in dbx Any idea what program I need to open them with? |
