Thanks Merry - will give it a go. Actually, I like the ranked search - sometimes if your info is a bit out, you can spot other things - or you can be looking for one person and spot someone else... Thanks for all your help, Victoria. |

Oh, and I never use the Ranked Search option as I don't get on with it! Merry |

I put in Mary (not Mary Ann)..... No surname born 1855 or five years each way.... Born in County of Norwich, Parish of Norfolk Living in County of Yorkshire and in Town (not Civil Parish) of Hull And that was all.... That only brought up one match and she didn't have a husband! Actually, after that I was just trying to eliminate her, but couldn't! If you end up eliminating her, there are more women available if you don't say ''Born Norwich'' only Norfolk....or if you don't say living in Hull, just Yorkshire. Merry |

Hi Merry. Re: my missing wife query earlier today (Wilson Pounder), just wondered if I could ask you for another tip. How did you find Mary Ann Moore on the 1891 census? I assumed you had put in Mary Ann with no surname and all the other info we know, but when I do that it keeps saying I need to narrow it down more. What did you do?? Victoria. |
