Hello Rita Firstly thank you to you and your contact for spending the time to look information up for others. Could you please look up the following individuals: Elizabeth Kitteringham b. Q2 1859 - unfortunately the census only says Tilney. I believe she is an illegitimate daughter of Charlotte Kitteringham. Mary Elizabeth Elsey b. 1859, born Tilney according to the census - again believe she is also an illegitimate daughter What I am trying to clarify is if they are one of the same person. On the 1861 there is a Elizabeth Kitteringham living with her grandparents and then 10 years later there is Mary Elizabeth Elizabeth living with the same grandparents, but I can only find one birth reference. So clarification needed as cannot find a birth for the Elsey child listed on the 1871 census. One more look up if you dont mind? Polly Elsey I know was born 1st November 1883 (from family) but unfortunately all they could say is Terrington. If you friend cant find here in Terrington St John, then I could probably assume that she was born in Terrington St Clements. Her parents were Robert Elsey and Emma Elsey nee Emmerson. Any help much appreciated Kind regards Sue

These are the responses that I have had back Rita For Linda - No KNOLL or variants on the Terrington St.John registers although weare still transcribing the last register for 1754-1812 marriages at the moment.I have just checked Alan Gresley's web site which has some entries fromthe ATs for Terrington St.Clements & there are some NOLL marriageslisted.http://contueor.com/wisbech/indexes/---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------For Sue -Have had a look at Tilney All Saints & Tilney cum Islington PRs but no entry for Elizabeth or Mary Elizabeth ELSEY on them. Looking at the 1841-1861 censuses it seems that any K(I)(E)TTERINGHAM's lived in Tilney St.Lawrence. When just 'Tilney' is given as a birthplace 9 times out of 10 it is Tilney St.Lawrence. No ELSEY babtisms at all on the Terrington St.John PRs so I think you are right to assume it will be Terrington St.Clements. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
