If this person is linked to more than one other person (they have two or more siblings or are married and have children) you have to delete the children first then you can delete the 'wrong' person. Then you can re-enter the correct people in the correct places. If you use a family tree programme such as Family Tree Maker you can delete the 'wrong' person, without having to change/delete the correct people as well. You can also update the tree on GR by uploading from a family tree program as and when you need to.The other advantage is that you have a back up of the tree,GR as the only version of your tree on the computer is a risk,if the site crashes for any reason you could lose all your data. If the person is linked to a group you need to take that person out first and if he/she is linked to other people you will need to take them out also then put them back |

Not much experience of this as I enter each one manually, when I need to. I think you can delete a person if they have no offspring. You may need to take out a family group and re-enter those you want to keep. |

Hi Lisa, not sure, but I think it can be a bit complicated, why don't you just change the details for those that are wrong? Sarah :-) |
