I've just found one on our tree. Not quite as close as yours though. My wife's third cousin is married to a chap who is seventh cousin to both of them.

Hi Peter I had to chuckle when I saw your reply as I found out only yesterday that my gr grandad - who is my hubbies grandads brother did have webbed feet and opened a local swimming pool. Bit of a celebrity in his day lol xx

Okay I found the cousin calculator - how fantastic - only trouble is I am going to be matching all my rellies up from both sides now, and we still haven't had our tea :~( I think it also means that if my kids are placed under my husbands side (if you know what I mean) then they are my 3rd cousins I think. I'm only just getting used to being a parent after 17 years lol Thanks again for your help xx

Agree with Louise and Merry. You are second cousins once removed, so if you have kids together, their dad is their second cousin twice removed too. Kath. x

Thanks for your replies. I will try googling and the cousin calculator, I never thought of that. My kids have been winding their dad up callling him cousin for ages. I think its wearing a bit thin now though. Cheers again xx Thanks Merry and everyone

not sure as I've confused myself - but I think if you are the 2nd great grandchild & your husband is the great grandchild - that makes you 2nd cousins 1 time removed (http://www.searchforancestors*com/utility/cousincalculator.html)

Hi everyone This is my first post although I must admit I've kind of been hiding in the background for a while. Everyone seems really helpful so here goes -------- Can any one help me sort out my family connections? I am married to my mothers, mothers, fathers, brothers, sons, son. Question - purely out of curiosity, what does this make me to my husband as well as being his wife, and can anyone give me any of the other relationships as well. I am literally going round in circles, and my kids think I've gone mad. Thankyou xx
