Can anybody help with tracing ancestors in Ireland? I am really struggling. John Osborne born about 1795. Son called James who then moved to Scotland( I have all his details). Mother is named as 'Mary unknown surname' on James' death. James was born in Garvaghy in 1818, County Down and married Eliza Close |

Hi, Paul, have you looked on Ulster Ancestry? Also have you googled PRONI..?, I found both sites very helpful.....Barbara.... |

Actually visited PRONI but still struggled to find anything useful, but they have so much stuff there you could spend days looking! And unfortunately didn't have long enough! |

Hmm, Have you tried PRONI'S freeholders records?, its the only thing I can think of at the moment, other than going down the free paged at Ulster Ancestry to see if there is anything that might help.................Barbara........... |
