I am trying to find several Scottish marriages after 1930's, is there anywhere I can search. This would also of course lead on to Birth searches needed as well. Betty

Scottish records on line only go as far, scotlandspeople which i'm sure you have used is as far as you can get via the internet. The birth records are 'closed' for 100 years, but you can contact the Scottish GRO for advice how to search in person beyond the dates available online. Glen

If you go to scotlandspeople homepage there are links to 'other resources'. They give links to websites that will tell you how to proceed, what you can do and how to do it. Glen

Hi Glen, Thanks for your reply. I really need this marriage between 1930 and 1935 as the daughter of this couple is very ill and never ever found her Grandparents. Her sister has already died and I still hold out hope that I can find her parents marriage for her and get information on her grandparents. Betty

Betty, You should be able to do this at the Dundee Genealogy Unit as I mentioned the other night? Denis.

Hi Betty You can book an hour in the Perth reg office for £10, they do the searches for you. It covers all of Scotland. maybe Dundee will be the same. Marion
