Can I just clarify the first posting the reference is Bethnal Green Vol. 2 p. 24 The image shows the volume as volume ii (roman numerals) NOT volume 11 (eleven)

Thanks Carol and Nell - I'm definately going to have to order that! It's one of te brothers of my direct ancestor, but he was born before 1837. Thanks!

Looks like II p. 24, comparing it with other numbers on the page. Not eleven but Roman numerals for 2. According to the Genuki list of reg districts that's right BETHNAL GREEN REGISTRATION DISTRICT GRO volumes : II (1837-51) You can order it from the GRO using 2 instead. nell

Hi, on the BETA images on ancestry I have the birth of Benjamin Connelly, in the June Qtr, of 1842. The registration district is Bethnal Green, but can anybody read the volume and page number? ************Thanks, *******Tom
