Chances are the parish record itself would be cheaper, but the records office search charge would be more than £7. My local one in Northumberland charge £11 per hour, the LMA (London Metropolitan Archives) charge £35 per hour for a search, then charge for copying documents as well. Glen |

hi Glen its 1877 but I am not sure its the right girl so rather than buy the cert someone said for a few pounds I could get a copy of the actual parish records, by the way Frou Frou would be good on the Nicks much more comfortable than Tinsel too. |

Valerie, the register office will only do you a copy of the certificate if you pay them £7. For parish records you would want the record office, presumably the one on this website: http://www.archives.wyjs.org.uk/ (West Yorkshire Archives, Leeds) If you look at that website it has the address, opening hours, phone numbers and email address (can't post email address here as GR doesn't allow it!) Kate. |

How early/late is the marriage?Usually it's just the cert route via a local office for post 1837,but i prefer the local ones whenever possible. The tinsel is starting to fray by the way,and i'm not sure what would be a good replacement. Glen |
