I have just received an old newspaper clipping regarding my gt uncles engagement and it states that his fiancee's father was a well-known Cardiff accountant and secretary of the Pembrokeshire Society in Cardiff. It only gives his surname, Shankland, but no forename. Have tried searching for more info but to no avail! Does anyone have any info or tips regarding this Society (around 1930)? Best wishes Helen |
