Thanks for that - there are a lot of threads on adoption but I haven't found one that really helps me - a bit of direct advice would be appreciated. She is not directly related, more of the aunt of a second half cousin - but I offered to help..... Peter |

There have been a few threads on here about people who have been adopted etc. Just type adopted in the search box and it should find the threads for you - maybe there will be something in there that will help you. Good luck. |

Doris (possibly Doria) Whitman - birth registered Jan Q 1921. Parents Leonard Whitman and Margaret (nee Riding). I believe she was adopted between 1928 and 34 by a Clegg family in Burnley - where to next? Peter in New Zealand |
