right ive sorted out family tree maker into gedcom now when i try yo put my tree on genes i follow the instructions and when i find the file and click on upload ir just shows a white box and nothing else is done what am i doing wrong?? thanks

First of all use the drop down menu on File and it should say export file. It should then bring up a box saying that it has been saved in Gedcom. When you go to save it (probably in Documents) make sure you name it and also bring down the name below as Ged com.Then go onto GR onto import and follow the directions on there. Trouble is that GR are experiencing trouble with importing, but it gives you a chance to practice. Good luck Lynda

click on file, then export file, then entire file, then at the bottom of the next box where you select where to store the file and give it a file name it, say's save as type, select gedcom from the drop down box Roy
