yes...this is when things start to get a little more difficult... I would say, start off by searching online for any transcribed parish entries. A good website to try is this: http://www(.)familyhistoryonline(.)net (remove brackets) They have transcribed quite a lot of parish entries from around the UK. You have to register and pay a minimum of £5 for credits - but those credits will last you ages because to view each entry costs just pence, not pounds (free to search). Then there are local family history libraries you can try, as they sometimes hold local parish entries. You could also try contacting the various records centres around the UK, depending on which area you are searching on. Another thing you can do is Google on the parish name and see if there are any websites that have transcribed local entries already. You can buy disks of various parish entries from GenFair online, too. It's just a case of digging around really and making notes along the way of all the various sources you can find. Regards

This is a huge subject, which is why no one wants to answer!! Firstly, before 1837 you will generally have to rely on parish records (as a start point) to trace baptisms for your ancestors.
