Sorry to jump on your thread - but I just remembered that I have an old family photo album - around 1900's or earlier I would guess and many of them are wearing Salvation Army tops and brooches around collar saying S S. Does anyone know if S S is salvation army? I don't really even know what they would have done if they were Salvation Army. They are from Lincolnshire if this helps. Thanks

Hi Have you tried contecting your Local Salvation Army branch they might be able to help, I can remember from Jeremy Paxman's (I think) WDYTYA that they were helpful. Sue

Has anyone had any dealings in trying to get or look at Salvation Army Records. I have found out that my family has been connected to the army. I hope some one can help.
