Hello, You need to be sure that he isn't trying to take advantage of you. I don't know the site but is that what it's for? Someone else helping you find your mum or is it for parents and children to list themselves and hope they match? It might be wise to contact the administrators on the site to see if they have heard of this guy and see if he is legit and what they advise. You are wise to question his credentials. If you do decide to use him do not pay him, give credit cards details etc until you have your mum sitting in front of you or you have absolute proof the details provided relate to you. Good luck and I hope you find her. Toni |

Have you tried the adoption agency first? My husband was adopted, we located his family through the adoption agency he was adopted from--we did som of the searching under guidence from their social worker, they wrote the lettrs and arranged the meetings, w just paid expenses, like certificate costs, we now do searches as volunteers for them from time to time. Unfortunately his mum and dad had both passed away, but we have gained a fantastic new family through it and are all really close, as if we had all ben togethr all along! |

I need some advice. Ive been trying to locate my birth mum. Ive just been on a site called missing-you.net and i've recieved an email back from a guy called steve brittan. Just need to check hes genuine. Hes given me a registration number for himself and says once he can find my mum if he can he will only charge a finders fee of 40 pounds. Just want to make sure its not someone trying to profit. Thanks shell |
