Hi Alter Ego Thanks for replying. Do you know how l could check if both couples emigrated or went to sea. Daniel's son became a Mariner and the William White he boarded with was a Mariner too. Regards Pam

Away to the Staes or Oz spring to mind straight away- plenty of my rellies in liverpool left to go to New Zealand and Australia in the early 20th century- and never came back. Great Uncle jack born 1920 went to sea 1937>>Oz Great grand Uncle Robert went to new Zealand c 1916 Grat uncle Harold went to sea>.Oz 1929

l have Daniel Logan and wife Sarah who vanish after the 1851 census leaving a son Daniel born 1851 who appears on the 1861 as boarding with a family of William White in Liverpool. Also Edward Patchett who married Mary Elizabeth Cowdell in Bradford 1920. l have trawled ancestry complete for deaths of these two couple but nothing shows up. Does anyone have any ideas where they went. Pam
