Hi Karen, I have looked up Messutery, which does not actually appear to be a valid word? There is nothing to match it in the dictionary, and the closest I can get to it in the medical dictionary is MESENTERY, which is a fold of peritoneum attached to the small bowel which secures it to the posterior abdominal wall. Which would suggest a cancer of the small bowel! However, please do not take this as a true and valid explanation, as I am merely putting forward a possible explanation. Have you tried asking your own G.P to try and explain what it could be? I did this not long ago, with my great grandfathers death cert, as the condition he died of, I had never heard of before. My G.P was very helpful, he decoded the handwriting and googled the condition on his PC........he had not heard of the condition before but knew it to be an outdated terminology. Give it a try. Best wishes, Jen |
