GEDCOM Import Problem

Hi George and all, Problem with tree imports seems to have begun for me about last Thursday, around about 18th May I think. Still cannot upload my tree, even after deleting. I think we should suggest to the support team that we get some sort of refund towards next years subscription as this past week my tree has been next to useless with 1 individual in it. Have also had a reply from Sopport Team, who say they are working on it. Lets hope it doesn't take too long. It's more than a nuisance don't you think? Lynda

I have also had problems, I have E-Mailed GR. Got a response this morning saying thanks for letting them know and they are looking into it. Spent over an hour entering all the latest rellies in singularly!!

there have been problems in this department for ages I exported mine and lost half of them, spent ages putting them on singly . If everybody emailed GR about it they may do something.

It would appear that the problem has been around for a while, so I wonder how long it will actually take to get repaired? Does anyone from GR view and post to these forums?

Thanks for your update. Several are having same trouble. I agree with your comments wholeheartedly. Have been struggling for days and have wasted a lot of time trying to find out what the problem is. Theres only me on my tree now, whereas I might have left it alone if I had known.It interferes with the hot matches and any contacts you may have made in that time Lynda

Is anyone else having trouble with this facility? I tried to upload but after two days with no success, I thought I'd use the older method of delete and then upload. I now have a tree of 1 (ME!) and I still cannot upload. Technical Support have replied 'we are currently having problems with our gedcom service. Our technical team are looking into this and do hope to have it fixed in the next few days' If this is a known problem, wouldn't it be an idea to publish a 'system status' somewhere on the homepage?
