For those who weren't aware, GR took over the 1901 site last August from the Government.

anyone get an email from GR? i just did, it said you can search records: bmd--deaths--marriages--& 1901 census for free, and find what your ancestors were doing in 1901, well i,ve already got them in 1901, but i thought i would give this a try! but when you put the name and year in and click on search it brings up names and when you click to view the records you have to buy credits to view them!! thought it was to good to be true!!
