Wendy, no need to apologise for asking for help, we have all been there, I still feel I am no good at it sometimes. Ask away, any time, people on here are only too glad to help. Gloria :-))))

Dear Wendy, Have you looked at the census records for Charles Sugg to see if you can spot where he was born and when? The 1881 census is free to view on LDS site, and you can dearch so far on the 1901 census if you put in Charles Sugg as the name as there can't be so many of them. My great grandmother came from Sherborne Dorset, and one of her sistes married a George W Sugg who was a policeman in London who had been born in Sherborne?, so you are in the right sort of area to find a Sugg. Tap in 1901 + Archives to Google to get the site, and LDS to get the latter day saints. There are 13 Charles Sugg's on the 1901 census, a lot of them born in Somerset. There are about 8 Charles Sugg's on the 1881 census. Give us an approx. age, and any family members names, and anywhere they might have lived. An occupation would be another clue. Gill

Re-reading the original, I gather that the two names given are the respective fathers of the bride and groom.. So, firstly, we need the names and ages of the bride and groom. Please look at the cert and find those details. We can then look for their births, and perhaps find out when, where and who their respective fathers married. Reg

Wendy what you need to do now is find out who your G Grandparents married. What year was your grandparents marriage and what were their names? If it is far enough back you can look for them on the 1901 census. Georgina.
