is a third cousin four times removed (or a fourth cousin three times removed -it's a bit late at night and I can't work it out.) She doesn't marry until 1907, when she's 46, so unlikely to have any descendants. But I want her marriage certificate! Please knock some sense into me, someone. |

Hi, the only female Caroline I can find marrying in 1907 is a Sarah Elizabeth. Karen |

Hi Karen I've got her marriage reference, thanks, it's justifying the need to buy the certificate for so remote a relation that I'm finding difficult. |

Sorry, folks. I purposely didn't put Gazilda's surname down as I've found her on censuses and freebmd, spelt in different ways on every occasion, just needed that kick to bring me to my senses. |

I did a search for births 1911Q3 - 1920 for the other bride (Daisy Ethel Northcote) with either of the two grooms. Guess what???? Nowt! LOL Daisy Ethel seems to have been born in 1886 Seaward Sydenham was born in 1878 So.....was he a toy boy with Gazilda or a cradle snatcher with Daisy Ethel??? There are too many Henry James Fishers to consider! Merry |

Thanks, Merry. I must confess that I hanker after Seaward. With all the Williams and Marys in my tree it would be rather nice to have a Seaward and Gazilda. I could imagine that the iritation of having names that nobody could spell might draw them closer and I love the idea of his being a toy-boy! |

Ah well, a nice thought while it lasted. Thank you very much for tracking her down for me, Merry. As she is so remote, I'm unlikely to know what sort of life she lived, but with so late a marriage and never making old bones, I bet it wasn't the one she would have chosen for herself. |

I wish you had given way to your impulse, Phoenix. I have just found a Waterloo Maude on my tree (truly!) and needed just a little encouragement to acquire her certificates. Beverley from Perth |
