You would think a photo would be the most unlikely thing in the world, but my rellie who suffered a head injury when he was a child and spent his whole life in institutions, had a photo taken in middleage. When we asked for his records (he died in about 1920 in his 50's) we were most surprised to receive a snap of him - the only one to exist, I should think. Basically, you won't know what is, or isn't, available unless you start making enquiries......if records have survived and you can find where they are, the other problem might be if they are closed for 100 years.....though I was able to access medical records from 1940 by proving I was (virtually) next of kin. Good Luck with your search. Merry

As Anne says the death cert will state an inquest, so it does not seem as though there was one held. Nursery could have meant hospital for young children, I believe hosptal records are only kept for 50yrs. As for his burial, look at the local council website for cemeteries and telephone them. For one of mine I actually emailed the council and they found the info for me Sam

The death certificate would say if there was an inquest. Not sure if there would if he had been ill beforehand. Anne
