ooooer A sexton is a church officer charged with the maintenance of the church buildings and/or the surrounding graveyard. In smaller churches, this office is often combined with that of verger. I do know someone somewhere in my family was a grave digger, maybe this is him. So he fed them so much ale that they died, then he would dig them a hole lol That is a strage combo on occs lol |

LOL why is it you can look at something for ages and not see it, then someone tells you and its as plain as the nose on your face!! Sexton, never heard of that, will look it up So beer house keeper is like a pub landlord...COOL! Thanks Merry! youre a star! |

I cannot make out the childs name begining with what looks like an a (adam) but is a girl, cant read on either census, and charles occupation in 1901. thanks |
