This is a useful site which tells you what is on bmd certs and what it means: http://home.clara.net/dixons/Certificates/indexbd.htm Only Scottish certs have more useful genealogical info than England and Wales. nell

depends when they died - newish ones have date and place of birth!! Old ones tend to just tell you what they died of and who registered the death! xx

What info would I find on a death certificate?
