Anyone have a link for a online list of murders in 1923? Looking for the newspaper article about Fred Braddock tried in the Midlands. Normaly use the Times archives but lost both my library ticket number and pin number. Careless or what!

Thanks Shiela. Fred Braddock shot & killed his father Henry Tom Braddock (Known as Tom) in 1923. Believe it was 11th September. Think was a newspaper report in a newspaper called 'pioneer'. Tom was born in Normanton Yorks but was living in Smalley Derbyshire in 1901 with wife Emma.

Hi Michael, Several entries, but main one seems to be Sept 25th. 'Derbyshire Miner shot' sons confession. and on Wed Nov. 11 1923 in the news in brief page 11 Fred Braddock aged 17 accused of the murder of his father, and shot him with a sporting rifle but did not mean to harm him, as he was terrifiying him and his mother. Would my pin and library number get you access?, if so e mail me privately and I'll lend it to you. Sheila.

He's not on this site, but if he had suffered the death penalty you would have found him here - an excellent website about British murders.... http://www(.)richard(.)clark32(.)btinternet(.)co(.)uk/hanged1(.)html
