Please can anyone tell me how to find my S.A. branch? My grandfather Charles Henry PENTZ came fron SA and married my grandmother Ethel BREENS in 1918 (Hackney) I do know his family lived in Durban in 1922 because he returned for a visit with his wife and their 1st born, my mother Constance where their 2nd child Dennis was born. Charles's parent lived at 19 Fisher Street Durban. I have written to the National Repository Durban several time but had no reply. Where can I try now? Regards Trish |

If you google Durban SA it will give you the local government site. I did this and went into clubs etc and it gave me this. Hope it will help. Genealogy Soc of SA PO box 1344 Kelvin 2054 (011) 8028087 Mr A J Smith |

http://www.e-family(.)co(.)za/ remove brackets as usual You could try this site, if you click on Links on the lefthand side it will give you a list of places to try. Probably the NAAIRS SA Nat Archives) is your best bet, though still a bit hit and miss. SA is a bit like Ireland ...not easy. Sylvia |
