I just googled the word. It brought up the pedigree of a racehorse and something about herbal oils that are administered up the......eerrmmm... bottom! LOL |

my husbands g grandmother was Vashti Penfold and yes she was a gypsy the name pops up in there family but i dont know of any other familys with it what is the last name of yours Matilda |

We have had this question before...Vashti was an Indian/Persian (???) princess. It is a girl's name associated with Romany Gypsies (who are of course of distant Indian origin) OC |
