The IGI isn't complete either so all marriages may not be on there. Sam x |

The males of the family may have married in their brides parishes. You may find that the baptisms for your parish have been filmed but not marriages. Heather |

Ive been trawling through christenings using hugh wallis for the village of edwinstowe and the name tudsbury(and variants)from early 1600's to mid 1800's......loads of them-the name is local and did move to other villages, but the population was easily 900plus during this period so why only a few marriages?.......are they kept somewhere else?(ive calculated about 25 families with the male head being a trudsbury at least, never mind female tudsburys marrying) |
