My ancestor Stephen John Stewart was born at 7 Blarney Lane, Cork City, on Boxing Day 1867. Blarney Lane was the main street between Cork and Blarney and is now called Blarney Street. Number 7 was at the city end in a parish called Sunday's Well. It was flanked at Number 6 by Thomas Murphy, spirit dealer, at Number 9 by William Broderick, spirit dealer, at Number 11 by Thomas Charles, spirit dealer and Number 13 Daniel O’Connor... you guessed it, spirit dealer. I'd love to see a picture of the place at that time but there's nothing on line as far as I can see. Has anybody got anything that can add to my knowledge of this place? |

Good morning, Paul. How frustrating for you. I know that some of the people subscribed to the Cork list do live there, so I wondered if they could help. btw no more whooshing from me. Joy |

Yes, i've corresponded a number of times with the librarian there whose name, coincidentally, is Stewart! |

This is probably useless, but I have a little book, Historic Pubs of Belfast, ( my lot came from the north) and wondered if there might be something similar for you ?.......Barbara |
