Details contained on a marriage certificate include: * date and place of marriage * name, age and condition of the bride and groom * occupation and usual address * name and occupation of each person's father * names of the witnesses * the person who solemnised the marriage |

Thanks once again for your replies. Yes you're right Heather, I have already ordered the marriage cert and it is for my Wiseness mystery. I am determined as ever to get to the bottom of this - think my mum will be delighted if I can as the Wiseness is on her father's side of the family, the youngest being her grandmother. Fingers crossed. I will post on here and let you know when it arrives Heather :) Lyn x |
