All you will get in the index is name, mother's maiden name (aft. 1911) and the numbers yu need to buy the certificate. You will only get the parents full names on the cert. |

If you want any cert info not in the bmd indexes you have to buy the cert - unless its a Scottish one, where you can see it online. But you have to pay. nell |

Thanks for the responses on my dead end dilema! just wanted to know, if I want parents names from a birth cert will I have to send for a copy of original or is there a site I can get the info straight away and possibly for free! thanks again Michelle |
