Help with a certificate please

This morning I recieved a birth certificate, in the name of the mother section it says Louisa Kennedy late_____ formerly______ ( the lines mean that I cant read the names yet). Does this mean she was married before and if so which would be her birth name?

Julie My birth cert says that for my mum who was married before: Late - is the previous husband's name & Formerly - is the maiden name. I just checked by looking at it and that's right. sarah :-)

Sorry I havent replied before. Thankyou for your help. Now I just have to work out what they say.
