Certs are £7 If you send a cheque and it is wrong, they will send your cheque back in the SAE

Carol do you know how much they charge for a Cert at Cardiff and thanks again dont know how I missed it.

Thanks I must have missed the Cardiff one I spotted the other two one of them is the one I applied for. Thank you thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu its probally theCardiff one I want. So she was born out of wedlock so it did happen in their day. Thanks again

I found 3 possibles on familyrelatives. One is probably the one you already have 1 Clements Sarah Ann Bedwelty.11a 123 Birth 2 1883 2 Clements Sarah Florence Bedwelty.11a 72 Birth 4 1881 3 Clements Sarah Cardiff.11a 341 Birth 1 1884 If you apply direct to the register office and your checking points are wrong they will return your money in full but you do have to include a stamped addressed envelope. How old is she on 1891 census - that's more likely to be accurate. And what is her surname in 1891?

I thought I had traced my Gran/mothers birth Cert but had an email today fro GRO to say the check I asked them to do does not tie in with the information I gave them. I have her Marr/cert she was married in 1903 aged 21. She died in 1928 and her death Cert says she was 46. So from those ages she was born in 1882. The 1901 census states she was 18 born in Glam Cardiff, so could have been born in 1883. I searched the birth records from 1879 until 1885 but found no Sarah Ann Lethbridge. What I did find in 1883 was a Sarah Ann Clements, Clements was her mothers maiden name as the mother- in law is mentioned in the 1901 census and this is the Cert I applied for but the GRO said the birth mothers name was not Mary A Clements. Sarah's parents did not marry until 1888, could she have lied about her age and was I wrong to assume she was born before they married. Help where else do I look?
