I have a reli, James Hull born about 1859/60 in Winkfield, Berks. Where would he have been registered? Looking on a modern day map, Bracknell or Windsor seem to be the nearest big towns, but can't seem to get any further forward in getting an actual birth date, I have his marriage cert so know his father was David Hull. Tried Freebmd and LDS. Would be grateful for any ideas. Thanks Maggie

Neither LDS nor Freebmd are complete. You need to check the GRO birth indexes - they are free on www.ancestry*co.uk, though you have to register (free) to use the site.
