Can anybody help please. Had information about my ggrandads death from army records, but no name of informant. Got cert from M/C Registry Office and it gives my ggran as informant. This was in 1941 when he was 74 and her 72. What i need is some help in finding ggran. Never been able to find her d.o.b never mind her death. If i give details would someone kindly help Susannah Fitzsimon nee Bryan according to 1901 census born Manchester. At time of ggrandads death lived in Ancoats, Manchester. Ann

I have found a birth of a Susannah Bryan in 1866 in Flintshire East - Hawarden. Does this sound like it could be her?

Katie Fitzsimon, Daug. 7, born Manchester Mary Fitzsimon, Daugh, 5, born Manchester The reason she is Head of household is that my ggrandad was in the Boer War. Ann

Ann - realise that you have probably got the census details already - sometimes it helps us to have it too. Having said this - it hasn´t helped this time!!

Hi Reggie, Thanks for your help. I do have the marriage cert, but it doesn't say where born only where lived at time of marriage and then that is only a street. Still cant find birth from that. Yes she was Alexanders second wife, first wife died. Hi Emily, Thanks for the info about Flintshire. I will look on Cheshire bmd. Ann

I know the marriage cert doesn't give birthplace...............what does it say about her father? Reg

Ann

Ann Report 18 May 2006 17:34

Hi Reggie, Sorry i wasn't trying to be funny. What i meant was, if i knew which area she was born in or where the street was it would give me a better idea where to look for birth. Her Father was a James Bryan, deceased at time of her marriage. Ann
