What has happened to the Trying to ind and also the ecords page I have not been on for a few days now and when I clicked on for the Trying to Find page, I expected the list of names people are searching for to appear, but its not that anymore, but my biggest shock was when I clicked on for the records page, only to see a message coming up asking me to insert either BMD on the space prov ided, and to my amazement up came a board asking me to pay credits!! What on earth is happening, I can access BMDs from Ancestry I`m certainly not going to pay credits through GR what a cheek!! I had thought at first, oh great, this is going to be a new service provided by GR smashing, then what a shock. Can we no onger ask for help from others users now?

We have had some problems with GR over the last hour or so with some very strange messages and odd things happening. It all seems back to normal now - so try again and see what happens.

Strange!!! I must be going really dotty at last (my son is always telling me I am!) I have jusr one back for another try. and THIS TIME board is back to normal! Thank goodness you mentioned first that it had been going a bit funny otherwise I would have thought I was going to be collected by the men in white coats!

PS On having some second thoughts on this, I wonder if I have somehow happened upn something that is going to appear in future??

I think that the screen you got up was just the 'search records' screen coming up by mistake; GR do now have a BMD search where you have to buy credits and I think you can use the same credits for the 1901 census. Kate.

Thank you Kate for your reply, I`m getting over the shock now, but I really thought that this time I was on my way to the 'funny farm' In my old age I`m getting rather forgetful sometimes, so its relief to know that it was not just ME this time making daft errors (I usually do most of the time!)
